Thank you to many extended family members and volunteers who helped pull a lot of this information together. Personal thanks to the following for their assistance in my research: Dick Lowe, Gary Adams, Jane Adams, Bernard Adams, Sharon (Ridley) Smith, Sue (Butterfield) Picard, Tom Pollock, Tim & Grace (Adams) Cooper, Kathy (Baker) Clark, Lory (Traylor) England, Aarick Carlson from BYU-Idaho Special Collections who graciously digitized over 200 pages of handwritten letters which were saved by descendants of Elkanah Smith and the countless volunteers from Find-a-Grave who photographed Adams headstones from Maine to California!   ~Sharon Gillis
